WKF GmbH was founded in 1992 by the entrepreneur Kurt Wolf from Baden-Baden together with two other partners as a tool manufacturing company. Since 1994, the managing director Alexander Gröger has been co-partner and since 2006 single shareholder.
 
WKF has focussed on stamping and pressing technology since the mid-1990s. New tools are being manufactured in the company's own tool construction department. Since 2000, the company is located in the industrial park “Am Unterwege” in Sömmerda.
 
Our company focuses on the production of small and large series for the following industries: automotive, building materials, fittings and electricity. All related engineering such as design, project management, process development and advanced quality planning are part of our range of services.
 
For us, Industry 4.0 is more than a buzzword. It is a synonym for digital change in all areas of our business. Hence, we are actively involved in shaping this change. Another focus of our activities lies on the permanent increase in energy efficiency of our processes and thus on our contribution to climate protection.
 
We currently have 120 employees, including 9 apprentices for the professions of tool mechanic and machine and plant operator. In 2017, our annual turnover amounted to 13.5 million euros.
